Threaded (Screwed) Flanges
Screwed or threaded flanges are connected to the pipe in a manner similar to other screwed fittings, and can be back-welded to seal the joint between the pipe and flange. Although still available in most sizes and pressure ratings, screwed fittings are now primarily utilized in smaller pipe sizes and at lower pressures.
