Hastelloy C-276 bolt characteristics:
- Excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media in oxidation and reduction states.
- Excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
Metallographic structure of Hastelloy C-276 bolts:
C276 has a face-centered cubic lattice structure.
Corrosion resistance of Hastelloy C-276 bolts:
C276 alloy is suitable for various chemical process industries containing oxidizing and reducing media. The higher molybdenum and chromium content makes the alloy resistant to the erosion of ammonia ions, and the tungsten element further improves its corrosion resistance. C276 is one of the only materials that is resistant to corrosion by moist ammonia, hyponitrite, and ammonia dioxide solutions. The alloy has significant corrosion resistance to high-concentration ammonia salt solutions (such as iron amide and copper ammonia).
Hastelloy C-276 Bolt Application Scope Application areas include:
C276 alloy has been widely used in the chemical and petrochemical fields, such as in components and catalytic systems that come into contact with ammonia-containing organic matter. This material is especially suitable for use in high temperature, inorganic and organic acids mixed with impurities (such as formic acid and acetic acid), and seawater corrosion environments.
Pulp and paper industry such as digestion and bleaching vessels
Scrubbers, reheaters, wet steam fans, etc. in FGD systems
Equipment and components operating in sour gas environments
Reactors for acetic acid and acidic products
Sulfuric acid condenser
Methylene diphenyl isocyanate (MDI)
Production and processing of impure phosphoric acid
