Hastelloy C-59 nut characteristics:
C-59 is an ultra-low carbon Ni-Cr-MO alloy with excellent corrosion resistance and high mechanical strength. Its properties are as follows:
- Wide range of corrosion resistance under oxidizing and reducing conditions:
- It has good resistance to pitting corrosion and crevice corrosion, and is immune to stress corrosion cracking caused by chlorine.
- It has good corrosion resistance against nitric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid-hydrochloric acid mixed acids.
- It also has good corrosion resistance against impurities;
- It has good corrosion resistance to hydrochloric acid of any concentration below 40”C;
- It is allowed to be used on pressure vessels between -196-450℃
- It is approved by NACE standard MR-01-75 Level VIII for use in sour gas environment.
Corrosion resistance of Hastelloy C-59 nuts:
C-59 alloy is a Ni-Cr-MO alloy with extremely low carbon and silicon content. It does not tend to produce intermediate phases during hot processing and welding, so this alloy can be used for oxidation in chemical processes. and reducing media. Due to its high content of Ni, Cr, and Mo, C-59 has good corrosion resistance against ammonia ions. In standard corrosion tests involving oxidizing environments, it has been confirmed that C-59 alloy has superior properties than other Ni-Cr-M0 alloys. C59 alloy has good corrosion resistance in reducing environments. For example, the corrosion rate in 10% boiling sulfuric acid solution is about 1/3 of other Ni-Cr-M0 alloys. It also has good corrosion resistance in hydrochloric acid environment. .
Hastelloy C-59 nut application range Application areas include:
This alloy has a wide range of applications in the fields of chemistry, petrochemicals, energy manufacturing and pollution control. Typical applications are as follows:
- Especially when using acidic ammonia catalyst. 2. Digesters and bleaching equipment in the pulp and paper industry. 3. Scrubbers, reheaters, throttle valves, wet steam fans and agitators in FGD and IG systems. 4. Equipment and components operating in sour gas environments. 5. Reactor for acetic acid and acetic anhydride products. 6. Sulfuric acid condenser.
